Hi, it’s Anthony Bonnici here! I am the inventor of this little concept called Brain Blinkers that I’ve taken around the globe, five continents now hundreds of thousands of people, over the last 14 and a half years I have worked with individuals and organisations who want to make change; who want to achieve their best; who want to hit their results; who want to stop making excuses and get the results that they want and deserve.

So this post is just designed to help you understand a little bit more about what we can do, how we can help, and how you can implement some really quite simple strategies to help make your life different.

So it all began, yeah – the beginning of 2005, and I started the business with this idea based on behavioural psychology that helps people realize their potential through understanding what holds them back and I went through a number of iterations of this particular topic, calling it mental barriers to high performance, but really ending on the name Brain Blinkers; meaning what are the barriers that we hold as such the blinkers that stop us from seeing what’s available?

And we – I use the analogy—as you can see in the logo—of horse blinkers or horse blinders for those of you from the US; where they’re designed to help the horse focus on what they need to do, which is moving ahead very quickly and not to be distracted by what’s around them.

And of course, that notion works really well for short periods of focus and we have metaphorical brain blinkers on when we focus on a particular task say we’ve got to finish an assignment and we’ve got two hours we get into our study or we sit at our desk and we just really work on hitting those particular goals. That’s with brain blinkers on.

What we focus on though and what I’ve been doing for the last 40 and a half years is showing that putting blinkers on for too long and, in some cases, for decades, actually prevents us from seeing what’s possible. And so the metaphor of blinkers, if you like, is all around what are the things that were holding in place that we’re holding true for ourselves now that are actually in the way of his achieving greatness?

And so the Brain Blinkers concept is all about and removing those mental barriers to high performance. Yes, we need blinkers on for short periods of focus—it’s not about that. This brain blinkers concept is all around helping you figure out what is actually blinding you from achieving the things that might be in your periphery right now. And what we do is focus on three core brain blinkers.
We focus on limiting beliefs.
We focus on self-sabotage and we focus on fear. So there are three brain blinkers that we help people remove. Well, first of all, we identify them in people’s lives, in their behaviours, in the way they work, the way they interact and then we help them remove them and that’s the whole focus that I’ve had for the last 14 and a half years.
